The Carbon Cycle
Educational Video || Design in Motion
The objective of this assignment was to challenge students to reach beyond the traditional notion of what publication design can be. When I approached the concept of a digital publication, I wanted to find a reasonable balance between typography and illustration. The voiceover added another layer of interest, and I am extremely pleased with the outcome.
The Climate Crisis
I felt strongly that my call to action was related to the climate change, but I also wanted to take it on from a more scientific perspective. Everyone learns differently, and I wanted to provide a comprehensive scientific work that explained not only the biological, chemical, and geologic processes involved in the carbon cycle but also how humans have impacted each other.

The Animation Process
I compiled all of the illustrations and typography in Adobe After Effects and went about adding appropriate motion. I wanted the animation to feel clean and informative, while also engaging and fun. All of the illustrations were created with a combination of the Procreate application on my iPad, and Adobe Illustrator on my laptop.
